The annual examination of 3 yrs B.D.T.H.S.will be conducted by the Utkal University of Culture after completion of theory and practicals of each session respectively. University examination shall be conducted in the centers identified by Utkal University of culture, Bhubaneswar.

The institute and Utkal University of culture, shall conduct the internal assessment. The annual examination of P.G.Diploma in Toursim & Hotel management and certificate course in food production will be conducted by National Institute of Hotel management & Tourism monthly unit test and mid-term examination will be conducted by the institute as per the schedule.

Pass mark in aggregate shall be 40 %. Pass mark in individual subject shall be 35% . Pass mark in practicals shall be 50 %. To obtain 1st class a candidate shall be required to secure 60 % or more in aggregate. And to obtain destinetion a candidate would be required to secure 75 % in aggregate and more than 50 % in each paper in one chance only all those passed students who secure less than 60 % shall be placed in 2nd class.
